Infrared Heating Technologies designs and manufactures standard and custom industrial ovens, heaters and furnace systems based on a variety of heating technologies. Our oven and furnace systems are uniquely engineered to meet a wide variety of load sizes and throughput rates based on our customer’s heat processing application.
Industrial ovens are large temperature-controlled heat chambers used for a wide range of thermal processes at both large and small production volumes. They operate at a variety of temperatures, sizes, and throughput. There are two main design applications for industrial ovens: continuous process or batch process. A batch type oven, also known as a walk-in oven, batch oven or stack oven, works by the manufacturer adding material in the oven via a rack, cart, or truck and can be loaded manually or by automation. A continuous oven application utilizes a conveyor belt or chain type system and is better suited for mass production.
In addition, industrial ovens have a variety of heating methods. They are most commonly heated by gas, and/or electricity. Electric ovens tend to be extremely popular because they heat up very quickly, allow for separately controlled heat zones and most customers have ready access to electricity over gas. Gas industrial ovens are more expensive up front than electric ovens, but they cost less to operate. Gas ovens are a good choice when material needs to be heated at a high temperature in a short period of time. Gas ovens available in both indirect and direct heating and run on either natural gas or propane.
Our custom industrial ovens are designed and built to the customers’ exact specifications and heat processing requirements. We are an industry leader in designing one of a kind custom ovens and heat treat furnaces. Our oven systems are quality built, turn-key, efficient, low maintenance and meet our customer’s most demanding heat processing applications.
